Jeff Mata, a third year Mechanical Engineering major, flinches as his balsa wood bridge collapses during destructive testing. Mata built his bridge, intended as a skywalk between buildings 9 and 17 as part of his Vector Statics class (ME 214) with professor Jawa Mariappan
