Three students from the College of Engineering were recently awarded best technical paper at the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) western regional student conference. Industrial Engineering seniors Manny Cortez, Paula Mitchell and Aung Zeya were honored for their paper, "Quality Improvement at Mitchell Laboratory," at the 2005 Region 7 IIE Conference, March 4-6, at the University of Southern California.
