Broncos Fall to Texans 58-56 in Elite Eight Face-off; Finish Season with 24-7 Record

Cal Poly Pomona's men's basketball team, the 2005 NCAA Division II West Region champs, saw its season come to an end on March 23 with a 58-56 loss to Tarleton State in the Elite Eight. Cal Poly Pomona ends its season with a 24-7 record. The Broncos led by as many as 10 points in the second half and still held a nine-point edge with 4:23 remaining. Jonathan Boyd had a team-high 12 points for the Broncos, who were making their second appearance in the Elite Eight in the past three years.
