Cal Poly Pomona's men's basketball team, which captured a share of its first California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) championship since 1981, was seeded No. 3 in the NCAA Division II West Region and will open the playoffs on Friday, March 11, at 12:30 p.m. against No. 6 seed Seattle Pacific at Western Washington. The Broncos (21-6, 16-4), the 2003 West Region champs, are making their third consecutive playoff appearance. The women's basketball team will also play in a first-round playoff game on March 11 at 12:30 p.m. against Chico State at Seattle Pacific. All playoff games will be broadcast on the Athletic Web site.
