Banner E-Mail List Processing to End Dec. 10; Mailman Becomes Campus Mailing List Application

Instructional & Information Technology (I&IT) has announced a new way to create electronic mailing lists, one that will be required as part of the gradual shutdown of Banner applications.

Mailman is the universitys new e-mail distribution list application. This mailing distribution list system allows faculty and staff to send e-mail messages to several people by simply typing one address. To create a mail group on Mailman, go to https://mailman.cpp.edu/mailman/create. Complete instructions for mailman are available at https://www.cpp.edu/ehelp/mailman/index.html.

The long used “List Proc” service will no longer be available after Dec. 10. New e-mail distribution lists are no longer allowed to be created using List Proc on Banner.
