Professional actors will perform free staged readings of Shakespeare?s classic comedies each quarter at the Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center at 300 W. Second St. in Pomona. The 2004-05 season begins on Oct. 9, at 7 p.m., with A Midsummer Night?s Dream under the direction of Peter Uribe, an educator at the Orange County High School of Performing Arts and actor/director. The event is sponsored by Cal Poly Pomona's College of Letters, Arts & Social Sciences and presented by the Southern California Shakespeare Festival in collaboration with the university's Theatre department.
