The American Red Cross and Student Health Services will hold blood drives on Wednesday, July 7, and Aug 3-5 in the Bronco Student Center. |
In an effort to increase the supply of blood, the American Red Cross and Student Health Services will hold two blood drives this summer quarter at the Bronco Student Center.
During the summer months, blood donations are low and the supply for blood is scarce. In addition, with more people on the road during the summer, an increase in car accidents has increased the demand for blood, says Student Health Services Coordinator Teresa Quijano.
The American Red Cross is calling out to its number one source for donations, school campuses nationwide, to prepare for the upcoming summer.
An emergency blood drive is scheduled Wednesday, July 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Bronco Student Centers Ursa Minor Room. It will be followed by a three-day blood drive Aug 3-5 in the Bronco Student Centers Ursa Major Suite. Hours are as follows: Tuesday, Aug. 3, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, Aug. 4, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Thursday, Aug. 5, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
For more information or to arrange an appointment, the campus community is encouraged to call Teresa Quijano at (909) 869-2753.
