The College of Letters, Arts & Social Sciences and the Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center are offering a Summer Arts Academy in the Pomona Arts Colony for middle and high school students, grades 7-12. Session 1 will take place July 6-23 and session 2 from July 27-Aug. 13. Each session runs Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The academy will include the following classes:
Each session will culminate in a student showcase of talent on the last Friday afternoon of the session. Tuition for the academy is $250 per session and covers the cost of instruction, supplies and snacks. Students will be required to bring a sack lunch. Space is limited to 30 students to allow for optimum instructor/student interaction. Applications and tuition must be received by Friday, June 4.
