Barbara Bromley,chair, Education, Claudia Pinter-Lucke, chair, Mathematics, Ed Clancy, professor, Engineering Technology, and Michael Shelton (not pictured), chair, Mechanical Engineering, attended have been chosen to serve as Cal Poly Pomona’s team for “Teem-Up for K-12,” a program sponsored by the United States Department of Education and run by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). The group was one of 20 university teams funded to attend a workshop on March 4-5 in Clearwater, Fla., where they helped to develop an action plan for addressing the needs of K-12 education in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
