Intercollegiate Athletics invites the campus community to attend the 32nd Annual Green & Gold Dinner on Saturday, April 3, at 5:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Suites, Fairplex.
The special gala, which features a drawing for $5,000 and a silent and live auction, raises funds for much-needed student-athlete scholarships.
Last year's event raised more than $40,000 that was used to help offset a sizable increase in tuition fees. For the 2003-04 school year, costs exceed $10,000 per student residing on campus.
?Student-athletes work hard, both academically and athletically, and the funds raised at the Green & Gold Dinner help to support their efforts,? says Julie Hall, director of development for Athletics.
Tickets cost $175 per person (including dinner and drawing ticket), and a corporate table costs $1,500 (including dinner and drawing tickets for eight). Additional drawing tickets are available for $100, and winners need not be present to win.
Auction items include a seven-day Mayan Palace vacation in Mexico; a weeklong Caribbean vacation; two guests at the Anaheim Angels batting practice; and the chance to ride over Southern California in a helicopter with Commander Chuck Street, KIIS FM 102.7 on-air traffic reporter.
