Recent Gubernatorial Candidate Arianna Huffington Among Speakers for Campus Forum Series
Arianna Huffington will discuss ?The Issues Facing a California Governor? on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at noon as part of the university?s ongoing Campus Forum series.

Columnist and one-time California gubernatorial candidate Arianna Huffington will be speaking at Cal Poly Pomona on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at noon as part of the university?s ongoing Campus Forum series. Huffington will discuss ?The Issues Facing a California Governor.?

The Campus Forum series, which are free and open to the public, bring speakers to campus to discuss topics of current and pertinent interest. They are scheduled for Wednesdays at noon in the Bronco Student Center Ursa Major Room, Suite A. Other lectures this fall include:

  • Oct. 29 – Alexander Cockburn, co-editor of CounterPunch, on ?The State of the Media?
  • Nov. 5 – Blanche Petrich, journalist for Mexico?s La Jornada, on ?Covering Wars?
  • Nov. 12 – Cal Poly Pomona?s Saul Landau and Sonia Angulo will screen their film ?Syria: Between Iraq and a Hard Place?
  • Nov. 19 – Julia Sweig, fellow at the Council of Foreign Relations, on ?The U.S. and Colombia: Is There a Way Out??
