Jerald Chesser , associate dean, The Collins School of Hospitality Management, has been selected as Mentor of the Year by the California Restaurant Association and the California Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (CRAEF). This award is given each year to a member of industry who has taken a student ?under their wing? and has helped them to understand the hospitality industry. Chesser has been recognized for his support and understanding of high school hospitality and culinary arts students. He will be acknowledged for his achievements during the fifth annual CRAEF Pineapple Awards on Aug. 2 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
