New Campus Monument Praises Supporters
Theresa Griffin reads the names on the new donor wall at Cal Poly Pomona.

The writing is literally on the wall for Cal Poly Pomona?s newest campus monument.

Titled ?In Praise of Partnership,? the newly constructed donor wall just outside the CLA?s second floor entrance is a tribute to the more than five dozen individual and corporate supporters who each contributed $250,000 or more in cumulative giving since the university?s founding.

?These individuals and businesses are clearly recognized as the university?s most noteworthy donors in advancing the educational mission of Cal Poly Pomona,? says Ron Simons, associate vice president of university development. ?We really wanted something that would recognize them in a more permanent way.?

The Division of University Advancement and the Office of Facilities Planning collaborated on this project over the past year. Spanning nearly 30 feet in length and 7 feet in height, the monument includes engraved nameplates, signage, lighting and select photos of university life.

The campus community is invited to attend the official unveiling of the wall on Saturday, June 28, at 4:30 p.m.
