Fernandez , assistant professor, Animal & Veterinary Sciences, and graduate students Heather Elliot, Erin Smith and Ann Vitti presented research on Leptin immunopositive neurons in the bovine hypothalamus, porine hypothalamus and equine hypothalamus at the California Animal Nutrition Conference, May 13-14, in the Radisson Hotel in Fresno. Elliot won second place and Smith won third place in the poster competition. Elliot also presented her research at the CSU Research Competition on May 3 at CSU Stanislaus.
