Sullivision CEO, Best-Selling Author to Speak at The Collins School
Jim Sullivan, chief executive officer of Sullivision Inc., will give a speech on ?The Ten Best Practices of Successful Hospitality Companies,? at The Collins School of Hospitality Management.

Jim Sullivan, chief executive officer of Sullivision Inc. and best-selling author of business success books, will give a speech on ?The Ten Best Practices of Successful Hospitality Companies,? at The Collins School of Hospitality Management.

Sullivan?s two-hour multimedia presentation will be Thursday, May 8, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Hilton Great Room at The Collins School. It will cover a brief history of the food service industry in the United States, highlight current and future trends in the restaurant and hotel segment, evaluate the best practices and companies to work for, and detail traditional and nontraditional employment opportunities for students in the industry.

Sullivan will deliver another presentation on ?Leadership and the Multi-Generational Workforce? to The Collins School Board of Advisers, faculty and their guests at 6 p.m. in The Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch. In this invitation-only presentation, he will detail recent studies, insights and practices relative to successfully managing and inspiring Generation Y team members in a workplace dominated by Gen X and Baby Boomer supervisors.

Southern California KFC Franchisee Association and Polly's Pies will sponsor both events.

Sullivan is the author of ?Service That Sells? and ?Mind Your Own Business/People, Performance and Profits,? two books that have sold more than 400,000 copies worldwide. Sullivan?s monthly column on service and profitability is featured in Gannett Newspapers and ?Nation?s Restaurant News.? He is a well-known expert in the details of successful service system design, sales building, team performance, management dynamics, employee incentives and leadership.
