Gallegos , audit adviser, Computer Information Systems, gave a presentation on ?Information Systems Audit and Control Education ? Needs for the 21st Century? to accounting students and faculty at the University of Hawaii on May 9. He gave the keynote presentation on ?Information Systems Audit and Control Association ? Past, Present and Future? at the Information Systems Audit and Control Association Hawaii Chapter 20th Anniversary Celebration on May 8. Gallegos gave a presentation on ?The Cyber Security Enhancement Act: Its Impact to Business Operations? and ?Best Practices and Practical Applications in IT Security? to industry professionals on May 7 at the Honolulu Conference Center. Gallegos taught a certified information systems audit review course on ?Business Process Evaluation and Risk Management? on April 26 at the Southern California Edison facility in Rosemead. The Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Los Angeles Chapter sponsored the event. He also recently authored ?IT Auditor Careers: IT Governance Provides New Roles and Opportunities? which appears on pages 40-43 of the ?Information Systems Control Journal,? Volume 3, 2003. The journal is published by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and Foundation.
