Every two seconds someone in the United States is in need of blood yet only 5 percent of the eligible American population donates each year, according to the American Red Cross.
In partnership with the American Red Cross, the Office of Student Life and the Cultural Centers will host the Spring Quarter Blood Drive on May 21-23 in the Bronco Student Center Multipurpose Room. Times are as follows:
- Wednesday, May 21, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Thursday, May 22, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Friday, May 23, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
?In order to prep for summer when the blood supply is very low, we are hoping that students, faculty and staff will come out and support the blood drive,? said Rachelle Martinez, coordinator of student activities in the Office of Student Life.
Organizers have set a goal to collect at least 200 pints of blood from 200 participants.
To schedule and appointment to donate blood, contact Martinez at (909) 869-4492 or send an e-mail to email@example.com. Walk-ins are also welcome.
