Learn more about the changing job market, make connections and discover career and internship opportunities at Cal Poly Pomona?s Career Day/Summer Job Fair on Thursday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Bronco Student Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Those looking for full-time, part-time, summer, co-op or internship positions will have opportunities to speak with more than 150 companies from a wide variety of industries and government agencies, such as ABC, B/E Aerospace, Disney Consumer Products, Kaiser Permanente, Ferguson, Mervyn?s, Pulte Homes, Trader Joe?s, and U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
“Since the job market is very competitive, it is important for job seekers to plan and execute a well-developed job search campaign,” says Manuel Perez, director of the university?s Career Center. “To be successful, we strongly encourage you to utilize this networking opportunity with employers. Jobseekers should not only be prepared to answer questions about themselves, but also be prepared to ask pertinent questions, hand out resumes and dress professionally.”
