Nationally syndicated columnist and well-known author Arianna Huffington discussed her latest book, ?Pigs at the Trough: How Corporate Greed and Political Corruption are Undermining America,? on March 5 in the CLA Building.
The visit concluded the university?s winter quarter Campus Forum series, which brings speakers to discuss topics of current and pertinent interest to the campus community. The Campus Forum featuring Huffington can be viewed online at video.cpp.edu.
Huffington is author of nine books, including ?Picasso: Creator and Destroyer,? a major international bestseller translated into 16 languages and the basis for a feature film starring Anthony Hopkins. Her latest book is described on her Web site as ?a blistering, wickedly witty portrait of exactly how and why the worst and the greediest are running American business and government into the ground.?
Huffington?s work has been featured in such papers as the Los Angeles Times, New York Post and Chicago Sun-Times. She has made guest appearances on numerous television shows, including ?Politically Incorrect,? ?Larry King Live,? ?Oprah,? ?Nightline,? and ?Good Morning America.?
