University Presidential Candidate J. Michael Ortiz Address Campus Community in Open Forums

Webcasts of Open Forums Available — J. Michael Ortiz, a finalist for the presidency at Cal Poly Pomona, shared with students, faculty and staff his career experience and views on becoming president of Cal Poly Pomona at separate hour-long on-campus forums on Thursday, Feb. 27.

Ortiz is provost and vice president for academic affairs at California State University, Fresno.

Presidential finalists Susan Hackwood, Ephraim P. Smith and Dennis L. Hefner attended similar forums earlier this week. Hackwood is executive director of the California Council on Science and Technology and a professor of electrical engineering at the University of California, Riverside; Smith is vice president for academic affairs at California State University, Fullerton; and Hefner is president of the State University of New York, College of Fredonia.
