Campus Forum on ?The Coming War With Iraq? Cancelled


Former United Nations Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter has cancelled his appearance at Cal Poly Pomona on Feb. 19 because he will be meeting with former United States President Bill Clinton. Ritter was scheduled to discuss ?The Coming War With Iraq: How Did We Get Here?? as part of the Campus Forum series.

The next Campus Forum is scheduled Wednesday, Feb. 26, noon to 1 p.m., in the CLA Building, Room P2-7, at which time Cal State Sacramento sociology professor Ayad Al Qazzaz will discuss ?The Sociology of Contemporary Iraq.?

John Cavanaugh, director of the Washington D.C. Institute for Policy Studies, has cancelled his March 5 Campus Forum discussion on ?Free Trade: Reality or Farce?? Now, Arianna Huffington, a nationally syndicated columnist and well-known author, will discuss her new book, ?Pigs at the Trough: How Corporate Greed and Political Corruption are Undermining America,? on Wednesday, March 5, noon to 1 p.m., in the CLA Building, Room P2-7.
