Fode , administrative support assistant, College of Agriculture, coordinated and facilitated a workshop hosted by The San Gabriel Valley Chapter of the Autism Society of America on Jan. 16 at the South Coast Air Quality Management District facility in Diamond Bar. The training workshop was meant to teach approximately 70 law enforcement and medical professionals how to interact with individuals living with a developmental disability and/or mental illness. Fode, chapter president and mother of an autistic child, obtained state funding in support of this activity.
