Full-time faculty, instructors with at least three courses per year and department chairs interested in obtaining a 2002-03 Mini-Grant award must submit an application by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 to the Faculty Center for Professional Development. The Mini-Grant Program, funded by an allocation of state funds from President Suzuki, is meant to promote and support teaching effectiveness and other faculty professional activities, such as presenting papers, research projects and attending workshops and conferences. Past awards ranged from $500 to $725. Online applications are available at the Faculty Center Web site.
