The Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center, located in the Pomona Arts Colony, is offering several fall classes, including drawing, dance, painting and introduction to video production. For more information on any of these classes, please call the Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center at (909) 469-0080.

Watercolor Painting (ages 18 and up)

Adults interested in learning watercolor painting techniques will enjoy this class, held on Wednesdays and Fridays through Nov. 20, from 12:30?2:30 p.m. The series of classes costs $25 and includes materials.

Figure Drawing (ages 18 and up)

For $10 each class, students will share in the cost of a model during these figure drawing classes. An optional group critique is held at the end of each session. Classes are held Saturdays through Nov. 23, from noon to 3 p.m.

Dance Chance: Dance Games and Stories (ages 9-13)

Music and stories will accompany the improvisations in this modern dance class, which also includes hip-hop, ballet and folk dance. Children will learn how to transform a favorite story or song into dance as well as create fun dances to express themselves. Taught by Liz Maxwell, classes are held Tuesdays through Nov. 26, from 3:15?4:30 p.m. The class series costs $20.

Beginning Painting (ages 8?12)

Children will be taught the basics of painting in these fun classes, held Wednesdays through Dec. 4 (except Nov. 27), from 3:30?5:30 p.m. The series of classes costs $20 and includes supplies.

Beginning Painting (ages 13-17)

Adolescents will be taught the basics of painting in these fun classes, held Fridays through Dec. 6 (except Nov. 29), from 3:30?5:30 p.m. The series of classes costs $25 and includes materials.

Introduction to Video Production (ages 15 and up)

Designed for the total novice, this class will teach the basics of videotaping and creating video projects. Video camera and tape are required. Taught by Sonia Angulo, classes are held Tuesdays through Dec. 10, from 5?7 p.m. The series of classes costs $40 and includes four hours of computer lab time.
