Tipping off what promises to be an exciting partnership, Corona-based radio station KWRM-AM/1370 featured both of Cal Poly Pomona?s basketball head coaches on separate editions of its half-hour ?Southern California Sports Roundup? program with Mark Roberts.
The Wednesday, Nov. 6, show included a live in-studio interview with Bronco men?s coach Greg Kamansky. The program on Wednesday, Nov. 13, featured Bronco women?s coach Paul Thomas as the in-studio guest.
During the 2002-03 season, KWRM will broadcast selected Cal Poly Pomona men?s and women?s games including at least five conference doubleheaders. The current schedule begins Dec. 17 with a women?s nonconference game against visiting Texas A&M; Kingsville. The initial men?s game is a Dec. 30 nonconference outing against Montana State Billings. Additional games may be added depending on possible changes in station programming.
KWRM listening audience includes parts of Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange counties.
