Ongoing research projects at Cal Poly Pomona sponsored by the College of Agriculture?s Agriculture Research Initiative (ARI) Program will be spotlighted during a showcase event on Nov. 7, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the university?s AgriScapes center. ARI is currently sponsoring 16 research projects by 44 faculty and staff members, including: David Still who is creating a hybrid lettuce with the shelf life of iceberg, but the taste and nutritional value of leafy varieties and Marie Caudill who is learning that women need more folates than previously believed.
