Teach-In on War in Iraq

A group of faculty members and students concerned about the impending war against Iraq will hold the first of a series of Iraq teach-ins on Wednesday, Oct. 9, noon to 1 p.m., in the University Quad. The teach-in will focus on educating the campus community about the serious issues at stake and why war should be opposed. John Moore, of the history department, Sidney Silliman, of the political science department, and students Danny Wang and Farrah Hassen will speak on issues including the United Nations, pre-emptive first strike and facts vs. fiction about the war.
