Sushi aficionados need look no further for a nearby restaurant to please their palates with the recent opening of Kikka?s Sushi and Noodle Bar at the University Union.
Kikka?s opened last week in the former location of the Stuffed Sub on the first floor of the Union. (Stuffed Sub has been relocated to the Campus Center Marketplace.) Started in 1986 with locations including University of California at Irvine, Kikka?s is Cal Poly Pomona Foundation?s and Associated Students Inc.?s latest concept designed to increase choices for on-campus dining.
Grab-and-go food has rapidly become a favorite among students, faculty and staff pressed for time, and this sushi bar serves those needs. Kikka?s 57 menu options include a wide variety of sushi, rolls, noodle soups and salads. Selections range from a cucumber roll for $2.90 to a rainbow roll for $8.25. Soups run around $4.40 and salads are under $4. Vegetarian dishes, such as Veggie Fun Noodle and tofu or seaweed salads are also available.
Kikka?s Sushi and Noodle Bar is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. Catering trays are available for take-out. To view the full menu, visit Kikka?s.
