Doreen
Nelson , professor, Education, was the keynote speaker in July for a week-long Summer Design Institute 2002: Best Practices in Design Education at the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in New York City. She led a summer institute in August for K-12 teachers at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in association with the Smithsonian Institution.
