Cal Poly Pomona students graduate with some of the lowest student loan debt in the country, according to a new report by LendEDU.

The university ranked No. 162 out of 1,300 public and private colleges included in the report. In a ranking of public institutions only, Cal Poly Pomona earned the No. 82 slot.

The report compiles recent financial aid data from the class of 2015 to determine which university students graduate with the lowest average student debt.

According to LendEDU, the average college graduate leaves with over $28,000 in student debt, putting Cal Poly Pomona students significantly beneath the national average and about equal to the state average at
