Staff Council: All Star Outstanding Department Contest

Tell Staff Council why your department should be the All Star Outstanding Department of the year. The winners will receive a breakfast or lunch for their department. Winners will be announced at Staff Council’s Morning Reception during Staff Appreciation Week on June 14. The entry deadline is Tuesday, May 24. Be Aware of Your Surroundings

Springtime and the warmer weather bring the increased likelihood of snake sightings on campus. EH&S reminds the campus community to maintain awareness for snakes and other wildlife. Snake sightings are not uncommon on campus, and they are not exclusive to the outlying areas of campus. COM DAY 2016: Mission COMplete

COM DAY is an annual event of the communication department that brings together students, faculty, alumni and professionals for a day of learning, networking and exploring the future of communication across multiple careers. This year’s theme, “Mission COMplete,” will focus on the concept of communication playing a vital role in not only the communication majors, but those in other fields as well. The event features guest speakers, food, entertainment, professional headshots, photo booths and opportunity drawings. Spring 2016 Faculty Updates Newsletter from Bronco Bookstore

The Spring 2016 edition of Bronco Bookstore’s “Faculty Updates” newsletter is now available on the Faculty Resources page of the bookstore website, www.broncobookstore.com. Learn about the OER and Open Textbook options and how the bookstore can support adopting those materials, and a new model for making sure all students get their course materials that can help with the drive to make materials more affordable, called “inclusive access”. There is also a review of policies regarding textbook adoption submissions and how we define book status indicators such as “required” vs. “optional” or “part of set.” For more information, visit
