Bronco Bookstore Announces New Online Requisition System

The Bronco Bookstore has switched their textbook requisitions platform to Sidewalk Hero. Hero allows faculty to readopt previous materials or search for new ones, all in one place. It also shows current pricing on several different sites including the bookstore’s pricing. Faculty and department textbook coordinators can submit requisitions via the Sidewalk Hero online requisition system by going to the Faculty Resources page of, clicking on theSidewalk Hero link and then using their CPP login credentials. Graduation Writing Test

Remember to advise students to take the GWT.  If a student has completed 90 units they are eligible to take the GWT. If they have completed 120 units and have not taken the GWT, they will receive a hold.  The hold will restrict their ability to register for classes. To remove the hold, students need to register for the GWT through Bronco Direct and pay the test fee via BroncoDirect or at the Cashiers Office.  An e-mail will be sent to their Cal Poly Pomona e-mail account that includes information for the day of the test. For more information, visit

Staff Scholarship – Amelia Hammond Staff Scholarship Applications Now Being Accepted

Staff Council is excited to announce that Amelia Hammond Staff Scholarship applications are now available and due on Oct. 25. This scholarship is to assist staff members in career development or personal job improvement education. Staff Council is awarding a maximum of three $300 scholarships. Applications are open to all staff members employed by the University, Cal Poly Pomona Foundation, Associated Students Inc., Cal Poly Federal Credit Union and employees of the Alumni Association who have been employed for at least two years in a full-time or permanent half-time capacity.  Scholarships will be awarded at the Amelia Hammond/Staff Emeritus Ceremony on Nov. 8. Donations for Refugees

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) and the Asian and Pacific Islander Student Center (APISC) are accepting donated items for Syrian Refugees resettling in Pomona, Claremont, and San Diego areas.

Reminder about Change in Email Forwarding

Email forwarding to third-party services, such as Gmail or Yahoo Mail, is no longer available for campus ( email accounts. The university began communicating the change in June 2015 and sent emails to students in spring 2016. Email forwarding for university employees ended in July 2015. Cal Poly Pomona CSA Produce Boxes

The College of Agriculture is offering fresh produce boxes, called Poly Packs, to the university community. The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) boxes will have 12 to 13 pounds of fruit, vegetables, herbs and other produce grown on campus for a price of $20 each. Updates to Bronco Bucks/GET Login Process

GET, the online management system for Bronco Bucks, no longer requires registration. If you are an active Cal Poly Pomona student, faculty or staff member, you are automatically enrolled. Your Bronco Name and Bronco Direct password are all you need to get started. With GET, you can add funds to your Bronco Bucks account, order food from select on-campus dining venues and upload your Bronco ID photo. For more information, visit

Homes for Sale at Fair Oaks Walk and Kellogg Tract

Two townhomes in the Fair Oaks Walk complex and one home in Kellogg tract are currently available for sale. Fair Oaks Walk townhomes were specifically built for the benefit of Cal Poly Pomona faculty and staff. Unlike traditional home ownership, a buyer will purchase the home but lease the land from Cal Poly Pomona Foundation, greatly reducing costs and enabling university professionals and affiliates to own a home near Cal Poly Pomona.
