L.A. County Moves into the Red Tier

As COVID-19 cases have declined, L.A. County has moved down from the “purple tier” to the “red tier” according to California’s blueprint for a safer economy. This change lifts some restrictions and allows some indoor operations with safeguards in place. L.A. County Public Health has also updated its guidance for higher education institutions. Because we are primarily virtual this semester with limited exceptions for in-person activities, the change in tiers does not immediately impact our academic or business operations. We are working on plans to reopen some campus facilities according to county guidelines and we will update you as those plans are approved. The university will continue to closely monitor and follow state and county guidelines.
