Wednesday, Nov. 20 / 5:30 p.m. / Bldg. 209, Room 101
The campus community is invited to a screening of “The Need to Grow,” an award-winning film produced by actress Rosario Dawson that follows the stories of three leaders – an eight-year-old, a farmer and an inventor – as they search for solutions addressing the rapid rate of soil degradation. According to the United Nations report “Wake Up Before It’s Too Late,” we only have 60 years of farmable topsoil left on the planet. Come learn about the problem and solutions. Hot pizza will be served.
