It’s not just about the thousands of patients tended to in Central America. The Cal Poly Pomona Global Medical Brigades Club left the 11 communities it visited with sustainable ways to take better care of themselves.
The last three years, at least 25 students from the club have spent their spring break administering dental treatments, constructing water systems and assisting in public heath projects in Honduras and Nicaragua. Up next is a visit to Panama in 2020.
