Cal Poly Pomona Professor Awarded $420,000 NIH Grant for Breast Cancer Research


Junjun Liu, a professor in the biological sciences department, receives a four-year, $420,000 grant from the National Institute of Health for a study titled “How Usp 16-Medicated Histone Deubiquitination Regulates Breast Cancer Cell Invasion.”

“The study is expected to reveal a new mechanism for metastasis regulation and may contribute to the development of novel approaches in the prevention and treatment of metastatic breast cancer,” Liu said.
