The third season of the College of Education and Integrative Studies’ weekly podcasts will now include video.

The College of Education and Integrative Studies at Cal Poly Pomona is now including video in its third season of weekly podcasts featuring students, alumni and faculty from the college.

The first and second seasons of the podcast featured faculty from the departments of Ethnic & Women’s Studies, Education, Educational Leadership, Early Childhood Studies, Interdisciplinary General Education and Liberal Studies. CEIS faculty provided insights on several topics including food justice, the national teacher shortage and the textbook adoption process in California.

The new season will begin with a video of CEIS students Elizabeth Mason and Arturo Basurto along with Assistant Professor Heather Wizikowski. During the interview, they discuss the challenges and opportunities in meeting the needs of students with disabilities. They also describe the Special Educators of Excellence in Diverse Settings (SEEDS) program, which offers full-tuition scholarships to assist qualified students in earning both their credential and master’s degree in special education.

A new video podcast will air every week through CEIS’s website. In addition, audio files will continue to be available on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher and TuneIn.

For more information, contact Ashley Jones at 909-869-5370.
