The California State University (CSU) and the Academic Professionals of California (APC) have reached a tentative agreement on a successor contract. The new three-year collective bargaining agreement will run through June 30, 2020. APC represents approximately 3,000 employees who serve in roles such as student service professionals and evaluators on CSU campuses.
Under the successor collective bargaining agreement, APC-represented employees will receive a 3.11 percent general salary increase on July 1, 2017 (retroactive), and three percent increases on July 1, 2018 and July 1, 2019.
Current APC-represented full-time employees will receive a one-time employee recognition bonus of $650 on ratification of the successor agreement by the CSU Board of Trustees. Employees in less than full-time positions shall receive the recognition bonus pro rata to the time-base of their appointment.
Additionally, effective July 1, 2018, APC-represented employees new to the CSU shall receive full health benefits upon retirement at age 52 with at least 10 years of service credit. (Currently employees may retire and receive full benefits after five years of service credit).
