Making summer a “fast pass to graduation,” Cal Poly Pomona is offering more than 750 courses this summer, including 490 class sections of high demand classes.
Students can choose from three summer terms: the 10-week session runs from June 19 through Aug. 1, and five week sessions are offered June 19 through July 25 and July 26 through Aug. 31. Registration for the 10-week session and the first five-week session is open through June 22.
Limited financial aid, including some grant money, is available for Cal Poly Pomona students who meet the qualifications. More than 1,500 students have already received grants or loans for summer session.
Summer classes are a great way to stay on track for graduation. In addition, with semester conversion just a year away, summer sessions are an opportunity to complete required courses before the transition.
As part of the university’s efforts to help students achieve their graduation goals, the university increased the number of high demand courses available during summer sessions, and tuition and fees for summer 2017 are comparable to fall, winter and spring quarters.
