Cal Poly Pomona to Celebrate International Education Week

Cal Poly Pomona will kick off its celebration of International Education Week Monday, Nov. 14.

Cal Poly Pomona is gearing up to celebrate International Education Week.

The week-long celebration, which kicks off Monday, Nov. 14, will include a children’s parade, an international food festival and a study abroad fair.

International Education Week is a joint initiative with the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education to promote programs for study abroad and cultural exchange experiences.

Planned events for this week include the following:

  • Nov. 14 — Noon-2 p.m.— Passport to International Sports & Recreation at the BRIC (Hosted By ASI Campus Recreation)
  • Nov. 15 — Noon to 1 p.m.— International Education Week opening ceremony/ASI Children’s Center Parade/Cultural Parade of the Nations & Performance at University Park South
  • Nov. 16 — 11 a.m. to noon — International Education Week panel discussion on “Empowering Youth through International Education” in Building 1, Room 104
  • Nov. 17 — 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. — International Food Festival, Study Abroad Fair, and English Language Café at University Park.
