Program for Faculty Focuses on Online and Hybrid Courses

Ten Cal Poly Pomona faculty members participated this summer in a program designed to support those who teach online and hybrid courses.

The Developing Online Learning-Centered Environments (DOLCE) 3.0 program has been around for several years, but this summer the focus was on applying the Quality Matters rubric for online or hybrid course design. Quality Matters is a nationally recognized rubric used to develop robust hybrid, online and technology-enhanced courses, according to Amanda Marsh, faculty lead for DOLCE 3.0 and a lecturer in the plant sciences department.

Marsh says she has used the Quality Matters rubric to improve the courses she teaches.

Ability Allies are a network of faculty, staff and students who take a visible role in promoting disability awareness, supporting persons with disabilities and maintaining resources for working and interacting with people with disabilities. Mosquito Abatement Notice

The university and surrounding areas have seen an increase in mosquito activity, and West Nile Virus has been identified on campus as well as other areas within the San Gabriel Valley. In response, the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito Abatement District has posted notices on campus advising simple precautions to protect against mosquitos. Updates to Bronco Bucks/GET Login Process

GET, the online management system for Bronco Bucks, no longer requires registration. If you are an active Cal Poly Pomona student, faculty or staff member, you are automatically enrolled. Your Bronco Name and Bronco Direct password are all you need to get started.
