Recording artist and Cal Poly Pomona Music Professor Nadia Shpachenko is on the Grammy Award ballot.
The pianist shared news on social media that her album “Woman at the New Piano” made the ballot for the 58th annual awards. The album also recently received a gold medal in three categories from the Global Music Awards.
Six-time Grammy nominees Marina and Victor Ledin produced the album, which was engineered and edited by Barry Werger. It includes world-premiere recordings by Tom Flaherty, James Matheson, Adam Schoenberg and Peter Yates, who is also a music professor at Cal Poly Pomona.
