What do you get when you mix unconventional fried food, rides and Bronco pride? Cal Poly Pomona Day at the Fair!
Cal Poly Pomona will make its presence felt near the Blue Gate: student clubs and organizations will dispense information from booths from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and performers from campus groups will take to the stage starting at 1 p.m.
At noon there will be a parade honoring Cal Poly Pomona, featuring President Michael Ortiz and his wife, Betty, the Bronco Pep Band, the Broncettes, tractors from the College of Agriculture and displays from other campus organizations.
In addition to the parade and attractions, visitors will see Cal Poly Pomona’s imprint in other ways at the fair.
The College of Agriculture will provide the animals for the petting zoo. This year, the roundup includes a trio of cows that will give birth during the fair.
“The Wedge” cabin designed by students in Associate Professor Juintow Lin’s Architecture 503 course will be on display in Wilderness Ridge.
Parking & Transportation Services will provide free shuttle service from Parking Lot C on campus to Gate 1 at the fair from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Vehicles will need a valid Cal Poly Pomona parking permit. Day permits can be purchased from the kiosk.
