Mahyar Amouzegar, dean of the College of Engineering, assisted in the publication of a new textbook, “IAENG Transactions on Engineering Technologies: Special Issue of the World Congress on Engineering and Computer Science 2012.” This edition revises and extends 49 research articles written by top researchers. Topics range from engineering mathematics to computational biology, serving researchers and graduate students with an invaluable source of information and reference as they work with engineering technologies and physical science and applications.
Amouzegar serves as one of three editors of the textbook. Written by prominent researchers, the text offers a thorough reference for graduate students who are working with or on engineering technologies and physical science and applications.
Amouzegar also serves on the executive board for the Center for Metropolitan Transportation Research, the advisory board for the Center for the Commercial Deployment of Transportation Technologies, and the Military Application Society Council. Amouzegar is the immediate past president of the Western Decision Sciences Institute, a Fellow of the Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications, and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
