Marla Franco, associate director of Parking & Transportation Services, will receive the 2012 Mereese Ladson Diversity Scholarship from the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS). Franco plans to use the $750 scholarship to attend the NACAS Institute for Managers in early 2013.
The institute is designed for auxiliary service managers who want to broaden their perspective on services in higher education. Franco will also be featured in the September issue of College Services magazine. The scholarship is targeted towards minority individuals who demonstrate leadership potential and are auxiliary professionals from NACAS member institutions.
Founded in 1969, NACAS is the largest international auxiliary services support organization serving higher education.
