PolyUpdates Moving to Summer Schedule June 11

PolyUpdates will begin its biweekly summer schedule on June 11. Summer issue dates are: June 11, June 25, July 9, July 23, Aug. 6, Aug. 20, and Sept. 4. The weekly schedule will resume Sept. 10. Faculty- or staff-based campus organizations are invited to post their announcements on PolyUpdates. Send a message to by 4 p.m. Thursday of the previous week to be considered for the upcoming issue. Include a brief description (two sentences) of the event or announcement with a link to a website with detailed information. Please note that because PolyUpdates does not include attachments, submissions should include links.

Construction Management Courses

Registration is underway for two non-credit certificate courses focusing on management practices in the construction industry. Accounting aspects of construction and the negotiation will be offered during summer quarter. Both courses are offered in the evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m., one night a week. Wedding Consultant Certificate Program

Individuals who want to work part-time or full-time as a wedding coordinator can learn the fundamentals of the business by enrolling in the Wedding Consultant Certificate Program offered by the College of the Extended University. Participants will gain important background knowledge and hands-on experience in this 10-week course. Meeting & Event Planning Certificate

Enter the fast-paced and exciting profession of meeting and event planning. The College of the Extended University is offering a new certificate program that will provide the fundamental skill sets and practical knowledge to plan meetings and events like a seasoned professional. Cal Poly Pomona faculty, staff and Alumni Association members receive a 10 percent discount. Classes begin June 23. For details and registration visit
