Kent Dickson, professor of Spanish in the English & foreign languages department, gave a talk in June at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. The presentation was part of the symposium “Vivisimo Muerto: Debates on Surrealism in Latin America,” which brought together 12 specialists from Europe and Latin American for a two-day round of papers and discussion. Dickson’s paper, “A Language of Stones: Cesar Moro and the Object,” will be published in a forthcoming Getty book, also titled “Vivisimo muerto.”
