Gary W. Kinsey, associate dean of the College of Education & Integrative Studies, was elected to his second year as co-chair of the Committee on Accreditation (COA). The committee oversees the educator preparation accreditation system, which ensures that credential programs are effectively training teachers. The 12-member committee includes distinguished educators who embody expertise, experiences and commitment to California public education. Kinsey’s fellow co-chair is Carol Leighty, recently retired superintendent of Temecula Valley Unified School District.
