The Education Specialist Credentials Program has received approval from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing to offer the Added Authorization in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Autism is a complex developmental disability characterized by difficulties in communication and social interaction. It is considered a “spectrum disorder” because it affects individuals in varying ways. The Added Authorization will be offered through the College of the Extended University beginning this summer and consists of three courses and fieldwork.
