Campus Observes Memorial Day

ROTC cadets Christopher Lopez and Christian Gray salute the flag during the presentation of the colors at the 2009 Veterans Day observance ceremony.

Cal Poly Pomona Veterans Service Initiative invites the campus community to join in honoring those who have died in our nation’s military services on Thursday, May 27 at noon. The Memorial Day observance ceremony will be held at the flagpole next to University Plaza, Building 26.

Anyone who is interested in honoring a family member or friend who died in defense of our country is invited you to fill out a memorial ribbon, which will be added to an individual flag to be displayed around the ceremony site. Memorial ribbons are available this week at the Dean of Student’s Conference Room, Building 26-110.

For more information on this ceremony, contact Mark Ulrich, director of student health services, at (909) 869-2760.
